JB Meet Danica January 18th

I have been trying to help Danielle and her sister Danica to meet Justin. So many beliebers have come together, but for some reason it just hasn’t happened yet. Tweet this link to the crew as much as possible! We can make this happen. We can do this. Follow the twitter JBMeetDanica

“Jbmeetdanica… Why? I don’t want it to happen because she’s sick. I want it to happen because it’s her dream. In fall of 2009, Danica caught the swine flu and she struggled to fight it off. As a result, her immune system was destroyed, and it is no longer capable of fighting illnesses off. In that same year, Danica was diagnosed with Hypoparathyroidism which means her calcium gland has shut down and will never work again, forcing her to live on vitamins as life support for the rest of her life. It was rough, but Danica got in the hang of taking her medications she needed to control the hypoparathyroidism. Danica was sick on and off throughout 2009, and 2010 and struggled to make it to school and do the things a normal teenager would do but she kept fighting. Then in may of 2011, she was diagnosed with alopecia areata which means she is losing patches of hair. And as we all know, at the age of 15.. Losing your hair is not something you want to go through. At this point, Danica felt like she was at rock bottom, and she was going into a depression. She didn’t want to leave her room because she was afraid of what people would say. She was being bullied in school. She was seriously struggling. But then we watched Never Say Never and things changed. Health wise? No. But as for her strength and her hope.. Yes! Justin inspired Danica to keep fighting. He taught her that she was born to be somebody no matter what her hair looked like. He taught her to stay strong. And since she watched that movie, her dream has been to meet Justin and personally thank him for inspiring her and giving her the hope and encouragement to keep fighting. Whenever Danica feels sick, she listens to Justin’s music or watches videos of him and she finds a reason to smile. When Justin says “I feel like my fans use my music as an escape”.. He couldn’t have said it better. “Be Alright”, “Pray”, “Never Say Never”, “Born To Be Somebody”… Those are like our life songs. They get us through everything. And it doesn’t have to be one of those songs that makes Danica smile. Any song, picture or video of Justin makes her smile:) Justin is our EVERYTHING.

The picture above of Danica in the hospital.. Those are from May of 2012. Danica was struggling to fight off a stomach virus, and as a result, she couldn’t keep her medicine down. Her calcium dropped to dangerously low levels, levels that could have caused cardiac arrest. She was in the hospital for 5 days, and missed my high school graduation. It felt like our whole world was turned upside down. we got to take her home after 5 days and she went back to her daily fight. She was on and off throughout the summer. And then she started out the school year missing like 12 days because she was fighting illnesses.
A burst of happiness came when we went to Justin’s show in Louisville in November. We made the 5 hour trip without tickets, and miraculously, we were blessed with tickets at the box office. It was the best night of our lives even though we didn’t get to meet Justin. Just seeing Danica smile as she watched justin perform.. It was incredible. And then Justin performed Be Alright, her eyes welled up with tears, but the smile on her face was still shining! We didn’t want the concert to end because we knew it was back to reality after we left.

Later that month, Danica was hospitalized again for calcium issues. This time, it was for 3 days. And then, it happened again 3 weeks later. Through the hospital visits, and the blood work, and the struggles, Justin still is the reason she smiles. When we go to the hospital, she packs her emergency Justin Bieber backpack, and she always asks for Justin Bieber stickers when she gets there. And she covers up in the hospital bed with her justin bieber blanket.

As Danica’s sister, all I want is to see her happy. Justin says “I like that I can make them forget about everything and just smile, even if it’s just for a few moments.” Well, that’s what I want for Danica. I want her to be able to just hug him, hold him tight, and thank him for everything he has done. I want her to hear him tell her “everything’s gonna be alright.” I want her to smile! She’s 16 years old, and I hate that she spends more time suffering and crying than she does smiling. One of the hardest things to do is watch your little sister suffer and know you can’t do anything to help her. I’ve cried myself to sleep many nights, just wishing I could take it all away. I made a promise that I would do whatever it takes to see her dream come true and I’m not giving up until it happens. Never Say Never, right?:)

January 18th, we’ll be in Nashville for Justin’s show. But again, we don’t have tickets. We’re just going with a lot of hope, and believing that dreams do come true. Justin will be leaving the US for the other leg of his tour soon, and this is going to be our last chance for a while. And the week after the show, we are flying to Boston Children’s Hospital in hopes that they can do something for Danica because her thyroid gland has become under active, now, as well. Doctors here in Tennessee just are running out of answers. Danica needs this more than anything right now. All I’m asking is that we can all come together and try to make it happen<;3 We’ve seen it happen for Shaine, Remi, Delaney, and so many other lovely beliebers. Can we do it for Danica?:)”
